[08_25_09]Senior Judges of Mongolia Complete Judicial Training Program

 

The Supreme Court of Korea together with KOICA co-hosted Judicial Training Program for the judges of Mongolia, which took place from August 25 to September 9, 2009 in Korea. The Mongolian delegation headed by Justice Dagvadorj TUNGALAG was comprised of ten judges.

 

The first official program was paying courtesy call to The Hon. PARK Ill-hoan, the Minister of National Court Administration. While participating in the program the delegation were provided with opportunities to obtain information regarding "Judicial Information Systems in Korea", "Judicial Policies in Korea", "JRTI and Judicial Training in Korea" and overall court organization and management of Korea and had active discussion over both judiciary systems through the seminar session.

 

Also, arranged in the program were study visits to Judicial Research and Training Institute, Seoul Central District Court, Pohang Branch Court and Judicial Information Technology Center, allowing the participants to promote their understanding of the Korean judicial system. The delegation made a three-day excursion to the southern part of Korea including ancient capital city Gyeongju and sites as Samsung Electronics, POSCO, Hyundai Motors Company and Hyundai Heavy Industries Company. The trip enabled the delegation to truly feel diverse culture and history as well as dynamics of the developing Korea.
