[5_15_17]Supreme Court hosts Training Program for Judiciary of D. R. Congo

As part of the judicial training program for developing nations, the Supreme Court of Korea and the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) jointly hosted Training Program for the Judiciary of the Democratic Republic of Congo for fourteen days from May 7 to May 20, 2017.

 

Headed by Judge Jean Pungu UBULU serving as Conseiller à la Cour Suprême de la Justice and Secrétaire Permanent du CSM at the Supreme Court of the DR Congo, the thirteen delegates visited the Supreme Court of Korea on May 15, 2017 and participated in the training program to learn about the Korean judicial system, international exchanges, court official system, etc.

 

The delegation visited the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Supreme Court IT Center, Seoul Southern District Court and other major judicial institutions to meet with Korean counterparts for discussions on the judicial system and broaden the knowledge about Korea’s experiences of implementing the advanced judicial system.  It is expected that the judicial exchanges between the judiciaries of Korea and DR Congo will continue in the future.
