The Vision of Judicial E-System is “Systemization of Judicial Process” and “Enhancement of Public Accessibility to Judicial Information.” The Judiciary is moving ahead with IT plan composed of computerization of the court's case management, the real property registration, and family census registry.

The Judiciary adopted a master plan for establishment of Electronic Case Filing (ECF) System in relation to the case management, which will be a stepping-stone for the advanced Electronic Courts in the future.

Electronic Demand Procedure System was implemented in 2006 after the revision of the related provisions and received positive evaluation among the users. E -litigation and e-court will be final stages of being introduced.

Also the Judiciary is expanding installation of automated self-service machines issuing certified copies or abridged copies of real property registration record, and allowing the public to acquire certified copies of real property registration record by internet system without visiting the registration office. Since 2006, additional service was launched enabling real property registration via internet.

To heighten efficiency of the tasks of judicial information systems, two directors of IT are appointed in the National Court Administration of the Supreme Court of Korea.
