The Supreme Court Justices Council amended the Rule on Judicial Assistant Officers on April 15, 2024. The amendment permits appointing judicial assistant officers from the director-generals of each court's administrative bureaus.The director-generals must have completed the judicial assistant officers' training or have relevant experience to assume the duties.The amendment will come into effect on July 1, 2024. It is expected that assigning the duties of a judicial assistant officer to the director-generals will help expedite trials in their respective areas of responsibility.
