TITLE [05_03_21] Appointment of 89 Law School Graduates as Research Judges

¡Ü The Chief Justice appointed 89 law school graduates on May 1, 2021 as research judges. On May 3, 2021, the appointees will have appointment ceremony at their respective courts: two high courts, Patent Court and district courts across the country.

¡ÜTotal 99 research judges were appointed this year, in consideration of the demand and capacity of the respective jurisdictions of high courts: 95 law school graduates and 4 JRTI graduates.
 - The JRTI graduates have completed their service as military judicial officers after graduation and were appointed on April 1, 2021.
 - Amongst the 95 appointees of law school graduates, 89 will be appointed this month and 6 including military judicial officers will be appointed on August 8, 2021.

¡ÜAs the law school system and lifetime judgeship continues to stabilize, the judges are expected to hold higher qualifications including the age and legal experiences. To that extent, the roles of research judges will become more important in assisting the trial affairs of judges for expeditious and efficient resolution of cases.
