[03_26_12]The Supreme Court hosted a Judicial Training Program for Nepalese Judiciary

The Supreme Court of Korea together with KOICA co-hosted Judicial Training Program for the senior judges and court officials of Nepal, which took place from March 26 to April 10, 2012 in Korea under the theme of 'Judicial Development for High Level Officials'. The Nepalese delegation headed by Judge of Appellate Court, Rajendra Parasad Raibhandari was comprised of 10 participants.

 

The participants started the first official program by paying courtesy call to The Hon. CHA Han-sung, the Minister of National Court Administration. While participating in the program the delegation were provided with opportunities to obtain information regarding "Judicial Information Systems in Korea", "Judicial Ethics in Korea", "JRTI and Judicial Training in Korea" and overall court organization and management of Korea and had active discussion over both judiciary systems through the seminar session.

 

Also, study visits to Judicial Research and Training Institute, Seoul Southern District Court, the Supreme Court IT Center were included in the program allowing the participants to broaden their understanding of the Korean judicial system.

  

During this program, the delegation made a three-day Field Trip to the southern part of Korea including Busan city, ancient capital city Gyeongju and sites as POSCO, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Electronics Company and National Museum. The trip enabled the delegation to truly learn diverse culture and history as well as dynamics of the Korea.
