The Supreme Court of Korea together with KOICA co-hosted Judicial Training Program for multinational judges and court officials under the theme of 'Improvement of Judicial Fairness and Effective Judicial Administration' which took place from October 22 to November 6, in Korea. This delegation headed by Juan Alfredo Biaggi, Vice President of Appeal Court of San Cristobal in Dominican Republic was comprised of 23 judges and legal professions from 12 countries, Dominican Republic, Morocco, Bolivia, Bhutan, Egypt, Nigeria, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Guatemala.
The official schedule begin with a courtesy call on the Hon. CHA Han-sung, Justice and Minister of National Court Administration. The study session was mainly comprised of areas of ethics of Korean Judiciary, Civil, Criminal, Administrative and Family & Juvenile Procedure in Korea and Judicial Information Systems in Korea. Through this study session, the delegation had good opportunities to share their comparative analysis as well as to learn from the experiences concerning the judicial systems through the introduction by the participants' countries.
Also composed in the program were study visits to the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Supreme Court IT center and Seoul Central District Court and Training Institute for Court Officials allowing the participants to broaden their understanding of the Korean judicial system. The delegation made a three-day excursion to the southern part of Korea including Busan city, ancient capital city Gyeongju and sites as POSCO and Hyundai Heavy Industies and experienced the industrial achievement of Korea.
