Among the speakers and panelists of the symposium were not only internationally renowned Korean jurists abroad such as Judge Sang-Hyun Song, the President of International Criminal Court (ICC), Judge O-Gon Kwon at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), and Judge Chang-Ho Chung at the ECCC (Extraordinary Chambers in the Court of Cambodia) in Khmer Rouge, but also eminent scholars and diplomats, including Registrar Herman von Hebel at the ICC, Professor David Scheffer, the U.N. Secretary-General's Special Expert on United Nations Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials, Professor David Cohen from Stanford University, and UN ambassadors of the ICC State Parties, such as Chile, Nigeria, Liechtenstein, and Philippines.
In addition, experts from relevant domestic institutions such as the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and National Human Rights Commission of Korea participated in the symposium as a speaker or a panelist and discussed the expansion of the rule of law and human rights laws in Asia.
