On August 20, 2015, the Supreme Court (Presiding Justice: YANG Sung-tae, Justice in charge: LEE Sang-hoon) rendered an en banc decision upholding a conviction and dismissing the defendant’s appeal. The case was about a violation of political funds act committed by the defendant Han Myeoung-sook( lawmaker) who was indicted on charges of ‘receiving about 900 million won($750,000) from President HAN Man-ho of Hanshin Construction Corporation in political funds’ and received a two-year prison sentence from the high court.(Supreme Court Decision 2013Do11650 Decided Aug 20, 2015)
