Online Registration Office provides fixed date for deposits of house lease

  
The Supreme Court announced that fixed date for deposits of house lease can be granted on the Supreme Court’s Online Registration Office from September 14, 2015.

People formerly had to visit the local Registration Office or community service center to be given the fixed date for their house lease; however, with the commencement of online service for fixed date, citizens can now use the Internet at home or office to be granted with the fixed date.

Lawyers, judicial scriveners and licensed real estate agents as well as the lessee and lessor can also use the online fixed date granting service. The service fee is ₩ 500, which is ₩ 100 cheaper than the local registration office. The payment can be made through mobile phone and credit card transactions.

To be granted with the fixed date online, users can enter the Online Registration Office run by the Supreme Court and simply upload the lease contract. In general, online applications for the fixed date is granted on the day the application is made but when filed after work hours or during the weekend, the fixed date will be granted on the next business day. Applicants can receive the notification for process result with mobile SMS or email.

In addition, the system will make great contribution to enhancing transaction safety as the uploaded lease contracts granted with fixed dates are electronically archived in the Online Registration Office, enabling the lessor or lessee to check the contract at any time on the website.
