¡á Supreme Court’s Symposium to mark the 20th anniversary of the implementation of a family court investigator system in the family court was held at the grand auditorium of the Supreme Court on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 14:00 to 18:00.
 - Family courts have been performing roles as specialized courts to resolve complex issues that occur within a family through dispute resolutions beyond trials. The family court investigator system was implemented in 2001, enabling the officers to investigate various family court cases by applying their expertise. All investigators possess expertise in the field of human behavioral science.

¡á The symposium was held under the theme of “The Value of Family Court and the Role of Family Court Investigators” on the 20th anniversary of the family court’s investigator system implementation, where participants reflected on the system’s achievements. The system strengthened the family court’s specialization and expanded the court’s role concerning guardianship and welfare. Discussions revolved around the value and future direction of family courts and aimed at creating a court that can actively respond to social changes. Furthermore, participants explored the roles of family court investigators and approaches to improve the system.

¡á This symposium provided an opportunity to inform the roles of professional family court investigators within and outside the judiciary and to communicate with professionals in related fields. Through the symposium, participants tried to enhance people’s trust and confidence in the judiciary and the family court as a specialized court.
