World best judicial system evaluated by World Bank’s Doing Business 2018

¡á The World Bank Group ranked Korea at the top for the civil judicial system
- In Doing Business 2018 published on October 31, 2017, the World Bank gave the finest evaluation for the expeditious proceedings and inexpensive cost of the Korean Judicial System
- Following the previous year, Korea received highest points in Court Automation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.

¡á World ranking and comparison of points in Enforcing Contracts
- The fastest, cheapest and highest-quality judicial proceedings

¡á Korea ranked fourth in the overall ranking – higher than last year’s rank on the fifth
- Amongst 190 countries that the World Bank evaluated, Korea ranked fourth in the overall and first in Enforcing Contracts (judicial system for civil proceedings)
- The effective and high-quality judicial system will contribute to enhance confidence in the legal system and economic growth

- Throughout the continuous improvement and reform efforts for better judicial system, Korea has been receiving higher points every year on each evaluation indicator and entered within the top 5 judicial system in the world in 2010
- While maintaining one of the best judicial systems since 2012, Korea finally ranked the first in 2017 and maintained the place again in 2018
- Korea received high points in the Quality of Judicial Processes Index newly introduced in 2016, globally recognized for the excellence of judicial proceedings
- The judiciary will continue its endeavor to improve the judicial and trial proceedings
