¡¼Main Issues and Holdings¡½ In the case where: Party A was appointed to a special post office affiliated with Post Office B of the Korea Post and worked as a postal worker, and then Party A died of acute heart failure at his/her home while working at Post Office B under the direction of the head of Post Office B, and the Korea Workers¡¯ Compensation and Welfare Service determined that Party A¡¯s cause of death was an occupational accident, and the bereaved family of Party A sought damages from the State, it is held that the State is liable for the damages suffered by Party A and Party A¡¯s bereaved family members due to the violation of the duty of protection.
