In a case where, on the date of the Defendant’s citizen participation trial in a separate criminal case regarding the crime of assault, the Defendant parked his motorcycle next to the vehicle of Party A, which had a certain sticker on the vehicle, and this led to the Defendant thinking that Party A had political opinions that differed from the Defendant’s, so the Defendant called the phone number that was listed on the windshield of Party A’s vehicle, and once the Defendant learned that Party A was a juror in the Defendant’s citizen participation criminal trial, the Defendant made phone calls to Party A while Party A was deliberating as a juror in order to tell Party A about his objections to the details set forth during the trial, and sent text messages to Party A to express the Defendant’s dissatisfaction with the trial process, resulting in the Defendant being charged with violating the Act on Citizen Participation in Criminal Trials by engaging in threats such as giving a juror in the other case anxiety, etc., and the Defendant was found to be guilty.
